Round 5 Wrap Up USC Lion v Adelaide Uni (2)
B Grade – The boys started well and passed the ball around and was pretty competitive in the first half but as the game progressed to the 2nd half the boys lost a bit of shape and structure and Adelaide Uni got control of the game and ended up running out 6-2 Winners. Best on ground for the B Grade was Shane Butler and the Goal Scores were Mohammed and Stewart
A Grade – After Lion knocking Uni out of the Cup a couple of weeks earlier with the last touch of the game it was always going to be a tight game. The game started and both teams settled down and passed the ball around and was a tight first half. Uni grabbed the lead through a Lion error and Lion responded with a equaliser with a bullett like header from Bruno Pavic and then another defensive error by Lion gave Uni the lead just beofre half time. After a team talk at half time i thought the boys would come out strong but we didn’t click into gear and struggled passing and moving in the second half and Uni took full control and after 3 more defensive errors Uni made us pay and ran out 5-1 winners. The loss drop us to 3rd on the ladder and we need to regroup and work hard with another tough game against Flinders Uni on Saturday. Best on Ground was Ben Fisher he worked hard all game and never gave up.
