Round 7 Wrap Up –

The Boys were back at the Lions Den facing of against Murray Bridge.

B Grade had a great day out against Murray Bridge and had complete control of the game. They passed the ball around well and had movement and shape. It was a great team effort and the boys ran out 5 – 0 winners against a young Murray Bridge side.

A Grade – The boys needed to bounce back after a couple of diappointing results in the last few weeks to keep pace with the front runners. I asked the boys to start from the first whistle and put pressure on and take it to Murray Bridge. Kick off started and i didn’t even have time to sit down and we was 1 – 0 up after 30 seconds and i thought it was going to be our day. Great run by Jack down the wing and crossed back for Dobi to slot away the opening goal. That’s as good as it got for us in the game after that we took the foot of the pedal and Murray Bridge got into the game and got control. We started giving the ball away to easy with bad passing and decision making overall it was our worst performance of the year and Murray Bridge ran out 4-1 winners. So that is 3 losses in a row and we need to turn this form around if we have any chance in finishing 2nd this year. Good sign was Matt Lyons coming back into the team to strengthen our defence. But we kept making silly mistakes that cost goals. Best on Ground for the A Grade was Matt Lyons.
