Wrap Up of Cup Game Round 2 Fulham United v USC Lion
The boys travelled to Collins Reserve to play Sunday Div 1 Side Fulham United in the Cup. I was very confident in this game if we played to our best ability and stuck to structure and formations we could cause a upset. We was missing a few key players and also Matt Lyons not turning up didn’t help so we only had 2 subs. We started of well and got into the game and i think Fulham was shocked how well we passed the ball and moved around closing there space. We created a couple of chances in the first half and wasn’t untill the 35 min that Fulham won a free kick out side the box and they scored a cracking free kick that went into the top corner (where the spiders live) and Shanon had no chance. So end of first half and score was 1-0 down i was pretty happy with that performance. 2nd Half Started and Fulham came out pretty strong and started creating more space and creating more chances and the boys where on the back foot but we never gave up and kept running and even created a couple of chances ourselves. Fulham had a 20 min period and they buried the game with 5 goals in the second half to run out 6-0 winners. Overall i was very happy with the performance and we never gave up and we should get a lot out of that game and take that into next week against Angkor. It was a great team effort and a good game by Shanon with some great one on one saves should give him confidence but Best on Ground was Jack never gave up and kept running and even had a goal line clearance to his name.
